Minnesota

Way back in June Jake's family went up to Minnesota to fish and relax. Here's the pictures of it all....

These will be in reverse order because I don't want to take the time to move them all around. So sorry!

Thanks to President Obama and this brilliant idea we were able to go 12 miles in only 1 hour and 40 minutes in the middle of the afternoon on a Sunday! And, naturally, there were no workers working that day when we finally got to the construction zone. Ugh!

It was Father's Day the day we left and the Primary kids had made ties for the dads and Grandpa.

We actually remembered to take a family picture this vacation!

Getting ready to head home-we were SO tired!

The cabin-enough space for us all (at least for a week...)

We took Isaac out on the boat and he was out cold in less than 20 minutes.

Daddy helped him catch his first fish from the boat!

Our little Captain!

And Miss Leah...happy as always.

Enjoying some ice cream at the Dairy Queen in town.

The water was a little chilly so Isaac spent most of his time on the shore-he was actually poking a dead fish in this picture. Nice, huh?

The best result of trying to take a decent picture of these two partners in crime.

Yes, I know, he's the cutest fisherman ever!!!

He LOVED being down on this dock and didn't mind wearing his life jacket at all. I got it out a few weeks before the trip and he'd wear it around the house without any problem.

Feeding the ducks at the pond in town-more like chucking bread at the birds! This kid has an arm on him like no other 2 year-old. He was fearless-even after falling onto the poo-covered grass.
