It's been a great summer...full of heat and sun and roadtrips. Here's what we've been up to....
We did fireworks at Jake's parents house on the 3rd with all those we brought home from WY. Both Jake and his brother left with all limbs attached so we'll consider the night a success.
The 4th was insanely hot-just like the rest of the summer. The pool water was even 97° or something crazy. In an effort to make it at least bearable Jake's dad bought all the ice he could find. It took all of 45 seconds to melt. Those swimming with 1/2 inch of the ice found some relief.
Isaac loaded his hot dog with cheese balls and asked me to take a picture. So I did.
Just a day outside when it wasn't unbearably hot.
We went out boating and on the jet ski one afternoon with my family.
Leah started her dance clinic-4 classes; one each of a different kind of a dance and one for tumbling. The first was from jazz and the rest are from ballet night. She loved it all, but liked tumbling the most and will probably start classes after the first of the year.
Pioneer Day celebration at the church.
Groundbreaking for the new aquatics center less than 1/2 mile from our house. Scheduled to be done next summer. Hooray!
What we get until the aquatics center is done.
