4 months old

Leah is now 4 months old. I can't believe how quickly time has gone by. She is still the happiest, most content baby. We couldn't love her more. She is now sleeping through the night in the crib in the same room as Isaac. (Isaac didn't do that until he was over a year old!!!). She loves to talk and sing and is a very expressive little girl. She's gotten to her side a couple of times, but is still a little ways off from rolling over I think. She tolerates tummy time, but would much rather be on her back to play. Isaac is her best friend and she loves to give him kisses and laugh and smile at him. The stats from her 4 month appointment are the in kids' room and they're both sleeping in there. I remember she was 13 pounds, 10 ounces and was 25 1/2 inches long. She was 55% for both of those and 10% (I think) for her head size. I'll post the real numbers along with Isaac's from that time later. We love this little girl so much and can't imagine life without all the ruffles and bows!

A day in the life...

Here's a few random pictures from our daily life...The one of the kitchen floor is the result of a 2 year-old attempting to take an almost-full pitcher of juice out of the fridge while I was getting his cup. No worries...it only took 3 floor moppings, a total wipedown of the cabinet fronts, full scrub of the entire fridge interior, and moving the fridge all the way out of its current location to clean up the mess. Ah well....no use crying over spilled juice, right? (Notice my shoes just barely out of the disaster zone-Isaac wore them and left there...little (and lucky!) stinker!)

Isaac's First Movie

We went with my family to see "Up" in the theatre-it was Isaac's first theatre movie and he did really well. Leah also was a little champ-never made a peep whether she was sleeping or awake. Plus she looked so adorable with her flower headband! As a bonus, the movie was great-I highly recommend it to anyone! Jake's favorite part was my parents' popcorn bucket-they bought it originally for like $9 and now get $1 refills. We were sure to refill it again on our way out of the theatre.

The Park

A few weeks ago my sister and I were both at our parents' house and we decided to walk over to a nearby park with the kids. (Leah was in the frontpack and I had the camera, hence no pictures of the two of us). It was a bit further of a walk than we anticipated, but it was a wonderful park and Isaac had a blast playing with his Aunt Kristelle.

Basement Progress

We are still working on the basement...these are the most current pictures, though we've done more since these were taken. Hopefully the next time I post pictures of the basement it will be totally done!

May

Since I'm so far behind on posts, I'll try to do more pictures than words-it's quicker to look at pictures than to read words. :)
My kids boycotted clothes-good thing because they are sure cute in just diapers!
Jake's parents opened their pool...it was too cold this day for me and Leah, but Jake and Isaac certainly enjoyed it.

Isaac learned he has some big shoes to fill.

We learned a new way to transport our baby girl-courtesy of Isaac.
